This is the main "confectionery" portion of our business and where it all started. We have a family tradition of making chocolate in various forms: bonbons, clusters, truffles, and more. The view of the Ecuadorean Andes greeted me every morning during my childhood; the beauty and memories of each of the mountains have inspired the names of MELTUS bonbons, each carrying special characteristics to the bonbon. Each is handmade with quality ingredients and can be packaged according to request.
A snow-capped volcanic mountain in the Andes. White chocolate with peanuts, raisins, and cashews.
A rocky, sun-dappled active volcano in Ecuador. Dark chocolate with raisins.
Rising even higher than Pichincha, the Cayambe volcano last erupted in 2002. Dark or milk chocolate with peanuts.
This volcano is not active and rolls across the province of the same name, covered in vegetation and flourishing wildlife. Dark, white, or milk chocolate with nuts and cranberries.
Our truffle is shaped almost just like this ancient range, once thought to be the highest in the world but dethroned by the Himalayan mountains. Caramelized peanuts covered in dark chocolate.
Named for the twin peaks of Illiniza Norte y Sur (North & South). Sometimes called the "cloud ocean," the saddle in between the mountains can be filled with clouds and during the right conditions, one peak can glow white with sun reflecting off the snow while the peak behind is shrouded in shadow. These truffles can be covered in dark chocolate, white chocolate, or nuts.
