About Us

Hello! I'm Ana Melo. 

During my childhood in Ecuador, I grew up watching my grandmother, Ana, and my mother, Catalina, preparing wonderful desserts and bonbons for special occasions. Years later, I lived in The Netherlands, where I learned chocolate making from Belgian artisans, who helped me recreate the taste and smell of the sweets from my childhood. In order to keep this tradition alive, I was inspired to create Meltus Chocolate, now Meltus Cakes & Confectionery. Despite being so far from where I grew up, I can still feel the warmth of my family while I make these treats.
